Is valleywag just trolling yahoo? Who is giving them their info? Everything I read about yahoo on valleywag is wrong on the facts. Sort of makes me wonder about the rest of the info on that site.

Naitik has made a pipe where you can follow the blogs of a large number of frontend devs at yahoo.

Interesting reading in general. Lots of smart people at this company.

So amazon has an ebook service and a pretty neat little reader. Ok, so eInk is really cool, take that as read. And I agree that the important part of a book is the data, not the medium. But the thing costs $400 freakin’ dollars. It isn’t compatible with my favorite book service, so if I want to read books on it I need to provide my own text or shell out $10 a book. I am just not really sold on the thing. Intellectually I understand that digital data ought to be distributed digitally.

But I would like to avoid having to spend money for yet another kind of media-viewing device, and frankly, I like books.

And so far, I agree. Javascript is broken. But it isn’t broken because it doesn’t have formal class declarations and strict typing!
